Newsletter – February 2012

Dear friends and colleagues,

We have been in contact with you over the year and want to keep in touch. So we have started a newsletter. For now we have three new developments, which you may or may not have heard about.

We got married!

Etienne and Bev hooked up personally and professionally. We’re living in Grass Valley, California with ambitions to start a Social Learning Center – more about that one day.

Workshops for social learning leaders

This summer we are running three workshops for leaders in social learning, communities of practice, and networks:

• state-of-the-art: methods and principles (July 6-13)
• cutting edge: emerging issues (July 16-20)
• academic: theory and research (July 30 – Aug 3)

And we are starting a one-year certificate program for those who want more formal professional development.

Launch of our new website

On this new joint website:

• We’ll be publishing resources on social learning (including communities of practice).
• We describe our joint services, which we are enthusiastic about as our combined experience sparks some great synergies and innovations.
• We includes news, reflections, and our travel schedule. (There is an email button on the travel schedule page. So if you see us near you and want to connect, use it to let us know.)
